Z-Drill began in 2010 as a small drill bit operation out of a welding shop in western Kentucky, with just a few drawers of inventory and a handful of customers. What started as a side project quickly grew as demand increased.

Small Start
2010
Z-Drill began as Zimmerman Drill Bit Sales in a western Kentucky welding shop. With just a few drawers of drill bits and a small group of local customers, the business started as a side project built on reliability and personal attention.
Growing Base
2015
The business relocated to Timpson, Texas, moving the inventory and operations alongside the owner. This transition allowed Z-Drill to reestablish itself in a new community and continue growing its customer base under the updated name.
System Upgrade
2018
Z-Drill upgraded from spreadsheets to a comprehensive ERP system. This change improved inventory management, streamlined processes, and enabled the company to serve larger and more diverse accounts more efficiently.
New Home
2022
The company moved again, this time to the rolling hills of central Kentucky near Windsor. This new location provided room for expansion and helped Z-Drill broaden its focus beyond metalworking into lumber, sawmill, pallet, and construction sectors.
